I yearn for the free-spirited essence of the 60's.  I don't know if photographs of the rich and famous are true representations of life back then, but I'm longing for bare feet, guitars, men with long hair, snakeskin, oversized sunglasses, cigarettes without guilt, peace, leather and spontaneity..

DIY Wide neck knit

The neckline of this Country Road jumper was way too high for my liking (and comfort), so FINALLY I took the plunge and gave it a little trim.

The strap across the back is actually the collar cut in half which I added out of necessity to keep the whole thing from falling to my waist... who woulda thought a cut knit REALLY stretches..


Best thing about this DIY jumper: It can be worn back to front.. bonus!

Made my first very short, very amateur 'how to' video because study is just not happening for me.

I should've tried this with a coloured top so you could really see what's going on, but black in this fabric was all I had. Hopefully you get the gist :)

It's just a basic 'cotton on' cotton tee.

It really is a fail safe way to change up a boring outfit.

Dress from Mossman

Went late night shopping tonight and instantly became smitten with this maroon, lightweight, faux suede, cut out dress with its high neck and butterfly style sleeves.

With me being a student and having recently quit my job, it's not just net-a-porter clothes that I'm basing the title 'this is what i'd wear..' on.  At $110, I'm going to need to be doing some serious 'fundraising' to get my hands on this baby.
